I Triple Dog Dare You!

I triple dog dare you! LoL the lovely Lisa just said that to another girl at work here LoL hilarious! How long has it been since someone had said that to/near you? LoL I love it. I swear my job isn't a really job, it's a place where we come, dressed in 'uniforms' joke around, run around the hotel & literally laugh our asses off all day! LoL love my job! But . . to the blogging! So after my horrible, mortifying, long, painful, embarrassing week I finally enjoyed myself to the fullest on Saturday. It was my oldest friend Kaiti's beeday and of course we had to go out & have a blast regardless of how shitty our own weeks were! and man did we! We went to Bisuteki Japanese Steakhouse in Revere where I swear to god we had the most absolute best time & then went back to Cheryl's house, momma of the McG clan. Somehow I managed to stay up & out until 3.30a, stunning I know! And I became an honorary McG! FABULOUS! Bam chicka bam waw. I went home to my beloved* finally on Sunday & it was so good to see, hug & kiss him again. Not seeing the love of your life in a week is so hard! Super excited, after a horrible, miserible week could things get any better? Now it's Monday afternoon & I am back to work & feeling great. Absolutely great! LaLa . .onto Christmas! Seriously slacking in that area, doing the tree this week, wrapping the fabulous gift I already have my beloved* & doing Aidan's Christmas shopping this week . . at some point LoL not exactly sure when. Super excited! OH! AND ontop of all the fabulous-ness our anniversary for being together for a year is in between Christmas & New Years, uh! Life is good! Well bloggers, we have a machine here in the office that is absolutely ridiculously loud & I can not think so I am off for now, ciao*

Hold!

So I am putting the debate on hold for a few hours in hopes for some clearity on a topic. I understand we as people change, multiple times in our life but sometimes is a change such a bad thing that "friends" just pretty much abandon you? Seriously. So you go through a "rough patch" drinking all the time, partying the days & weeks away and you spend all of your hard earned money on drinks & getting into clubs, and then you find someone. Not just anyone but someone who has completely changed your views & outlook on life as a whole. You are now into the spending quality time, looking towards the future, finally move out of your parents house (which you were hell bent on never leaving), and basically just acting more of an adult. But certain people that you thought were friends completely get fed up with this 'change' and just slowing cut off all ties & contact, until nothing! Now I understand friends get distant, we live different lives, have people in our lives we would prefer to spend more time with but to ask someone to join in on something then completely never mention it again & then blame you! for bailing & never hanging out is that neccessary? Now I may be young, naive or just plain stupid when it comes to 'friends' but wouldn't they be happy for me? I am not in that horrible cycle anymore, actually enjoying life, more positive & unbeat, and just overall happy! Why can't people be happy for you? I understand misery loves company, but when these people seem to be happy as well why can't they celebrate in the happiness for everyone not just themselves? I am honestly stunned & don't know what to even try & say at this point. At first I thought it was me, being cold & distant (everyone does it when a relationship is new, they want to spend all their free time with their new signifcant other) but I tried!! I honestly did, I called, texted just checked up on everyone & I got snubbed, attitudes & completely dissed out of things I was told about & told to 'have that night off' so I honestly & sadly gave up. I was just wondering, is this an issue many of us deal with? Or is it just something that you learn over time, certain people will just always suck & not be cool with 'change'. I mean I did at first, yes, distant myself wrap myself up with nothing but my beloved* but I tried to stop it, and I saw my friend Val once a week (at least) we did a girls night, or went someone where and did something together. But the others, yes all of our lives are busy just didn't seem to care or make any effort?! And now I am finding friends in the oddest places, (NO OFFENSE TO ANY OF THESE PEOPLE MENTIONED JUST ODD) the lovely Lisa has been there for me when I have had 'bad days' & she is just overall amazing, this guy Patrick I work with is always asking how I am, the family & my beloved* & Aidan are, the fabulous Kolleen even has been great! She is working for the great Benefit cosmetics and has reached out for us to hang & chit chat about the makeup she sells, and also gave me for my prize with the Beauty Question Week she had going on, and of course my two oldest & dearest friend Julie & Val, if you knew some of the stories we've had it's not only hilarious but amazing we are all still such good friends and have always been there for me. So it is just mind blowing to me that these people who said 'they would always be here for me no matter what, we are BFFs & such' just drop me like a bad hairdo or trend going on. So, all in all today I in a fabulous mood & will continue this friendly debate we have going on! But I was just wondering if anyone else has ever had this situation before or am I alone in this situation, or is it something I will learn to better a better judge in characters (which I thought I was, I don't get very close with many), who knows?! Until later fellow bloggers more on the whole Sex n The City vs Twilight saga.

Day No 6 :: Interesting Stuff

So this morning on my way to work, boo yes I am back to work already but limited my actual "work" HaHa. But anywho, on my way work I was listening a great AM radio station this morning, Wbcn & the fabulous DJs O&A (Opi & Anthony) who rock! They are opinions & they voice them, whether "politically correct" or not & they voice them loudly & callers come in & argue their case and it is just great radio to listen to in the AM, because unforunately all the radio stations only talk in the morning there's no music! But they are hilarious, usually but this morning was very informational & awesome. Anthony is not a racist but makes some valid points that todays' American society (the future of America) being in our 20s, 30s or 40s never saw slavery or the horrible way the "blacks" and women were treated. Yes, of course it was horrible & we hope history never repeats itself ever again in that form, but we (again, being America's society today, the "future") had nothing to do with it. The fact that the African-American culture as a whole has come so far from that whole situation, yes it absolutely fabulous no one if disputing that, but why are we having these discussion today November 6, 2008? Especially when none of us (the American society 20s, 30s, & 40s) weren't here, never had any slaves, and we all are in agreement that it was horrible & we never want it repeated! I am, I guess not neccessarily stunned, but just in aw I guess that these discussions are so popular today, because the fabulous Mr. Obama is due to be our president? Okay, maybe I can not grasp the understanding of the altitude of fabulousiness but seriously? I never owned a slave, you were never a slave, it's over & done with, yes horrible but done! Now we have an African-American President coming into office so doesn't that make the slate clear? We are all now finally equal? No need to feel there are "limitations" or things that can not be done by a certain culture? I, maybe being an optomistic, believe so & I think we all should. Yes it was one of the most horrible things that have happened in the American history, but not only did we as a country overcome it but moved on & up from it. Think positively people!
But in other news, I am feeling fabulous, still very sore but no pain anymore! YaY. Back to the grind, not so YaY but here with the lovely Lisa doing an extremely limited number of things, fabulous! And then back to the crazii house I call my parents. But that is all I really had to say this morning, maybe I will blog again later (parents' house drives me nuts, usually hide in my room blogging or reading) but I may sleep, extremely tired lately (the meds!) Until then fellow bloggers
