Collection of week.

so I haven't really blogged at all this week, ugh! being back from vacation after the Boston Marathon at a hotel is insane! Lots of clean up to do, prep for the rest of the guests coming in, just chaos! I love it* But I have forgotten a lot of things that has happened the last week & a half. So I am posting a bunch of fun pictures, little descriptions of what is going on with each & then that is it for the day I am feeling like a Day of Smiles in overdue so I may do one of those soon. With the nice weather coming this weekend we may not need them as much as we have in the past but extra few smiles can not hurt anyone! Ciao*
i missed Earth Day 2009 yesterday
honestly (sounds horriblei know but i'm a realist) i don't really care for it, no one helps or does anything on a normal basis & the thought of setting aside one day to pay attention to the Earth but one day won't make a big of difference.

my beloved's* older sister jyll's beeday was yesterday as well HAPPY BEEDAY*
this was my first sign when i arrived into vegas*

my beloved* is a joker. i bought that helmet for aidan for christmas; it sounds like the storm troppers voice, has all kinds of noices & sounds it rocks all the kids (adults)love it*

aidan got his haircut LoL long, drown-out, hilarious process to watch

aidan loves to shave* my beloved* used to do it often but he grew a beard so he doesn't and aidan loves to shave with his transformers shaving kit his auntie ryan got him.

but that is it for the day; been very busy & very home-bound & relaxing since I got home from vegas. this weekend is supposed to be gorgeous here in Boston the 70s & 80s uh I can not wait. leave nice weather to come home to nice weather; wedding reception coming up, beeday's & celebrations coming up & just lots of good things to come from us! hope it's the same for you.

Actually, you're not being a realist. The truth is our earth is dying and earth day is as important as ever, to promote awareness and change. Its so easy to say that no one cares but actually many people do, and more people are on board daily. My friend Theresa spent the day helping renovate fire damaged California forests, while I simply cleaned up around the house (we get a lot of debris from the street), made sure to keep all the lights off if we weren't using them, gather the recycling, everyday tasks, but the difference was I made aidan aware of what I was doing and why. We only have one earth and ultimately it is his, and he needs to respect it. Convenience keeps us from helping the world, and that's sad. Saying its one day that makes no difference is like saying Christmas is one day that makes no difference.

HaHa. . too funny.
yeah i completely agree there is only one planet & we need to try & preserve it but there are still SO many people that do nothing but liter & cause issues for the earth.

yes, but one person CAN make a difference; thats my point.

If you click onthe little link at the bottom of my blog there are all sorts of easy ways to help out:

Skip rinsing dishes before using your dishwasher and save up to 20 gallons of water each load. Plus, you're saving time and the energy used to heat the additional water

Unless you are making bread or pastries of some sort, don't pre-heat the oven. Just turn it on when you put the dish in. Also, when checking on your food, look through the oven window instead of opening the door

Always turn off incandescent bulbs when you leave a room. Fluorescent bulbs are more affected by the number of times it is switched on and off, so turn them off when you leave a room for 15 minutes or more. You'll save energy on the bulb itself, but also on cooling costs, as lights contribute heat to a room.

By some estimates, if all households in the U.S. paid their bills online and received electronic statements instead of paper, we'd save 18.5 million trees every year, 2.2 billion tons of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases, and 1.7 billion pounds of solid waste.

Etc Etc!

all craziiness.
if you don't rinse off the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher then they don't clean right! LoL my OCD!
i do the lights off in rooms we are not in LoL due to bills. and i am going green! at work & home.
i personally don't think one person can make that big of a difference, and what about the big whole in the ozone layer? you can't just repair it. it's there.
